JOHN W. ESHER, 1946-2014

John W. Esher was born on March 19, 1946, and passed away on March 12, 2014. He was 67 years of age. John grew up in Glendora and Blackwood, but was living in Glassboro when he died.

John proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Stetser Lamartine American Legion Post #281, Chews Landing. He retired after 46 years of government service.

John is survived by a daughter, Patricia Dougherty, a son, John Esher, 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Alexandria, Joanna, Becky, John, Sarah and Vincent, his brother, Dale Esher (Sandy), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha (nee Barnett), and a daughter, Marcy Escher.

A viewing was held on Saturday morning, March 15, 2014, from 8:15-10:15 am at the Gardner Funeral Home, 126 South Black Horse Pike, Runnemede, NJ. A funeral Mass followed at 11:00 am at Holy Child Parish, St. Maria Goretti RC Church, Runnemede, NJ. Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Esher's memory to Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Rd., Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
