BARBARA ROBELL (McRORY), 1944-2022
Barbara Robell was born on October 8, 1946, in Southwest Philadelphia to Frank and Caroline Robell,
and passed away on July 10, 2022, after complications from heart surgery. She was 78 years of age
and living in Haddon Heights, NJ.
Barb grew up in Blenheim, NJ, and went to Gloucester Township Junior High school. Barb was always a
stand out. She was one of the tallest kids in class. Here she is on the back row in Mrs. Brower's 8th grade
homeroom. After graduation from Triton, Barb stayed active working on reunion committees.
In 1970, Barb married Henry "Harry" McRory and they had two children, Brian and Kelli.
Unfortunately, Harry passd away in 1993 at the young age of 47.
Barb spent the bulk of her adult life underwriting insurance policies and loved it. She had her own
insurance company, the Barbara H. McRory Insurance Agency, in Westmont, NJ.
Barb volunteered for the American Red Cross as a Gray Lady during the Vietnam War. She was active in
both Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts of America in the 1980s when her children were growing up.
Barb is survived by her son, Brian McRory (Donna); her daughter, Kelli McRory (Steve
Thomas); her grandchildren: Kevin McRory, Daniel McRory, Mark Thomas, Megan Thomas and Alyssa
Thomas; her step grandchildren: James (Lauren) Madden, Christopher Madden, Patrick Madden and
Matthew Madden; her brothers, Frank Robell (Diane) and Charles Robell (Deborah); her sister-in-laws,
Yvonne McRory-Kukielka and Miriam Robell; along with several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. "Harry" McRory; her parents, Frank and
Caroline Robell (nee Prokapus); her brother, Peter Robell; her sister-in-laws, Anne McRory and
Kathleen Pino (nee McRory); her brother-in-law, Anthony Kulkielka; her father-in-law, Henry A.
McRory and mother-in-law, Margaret McRory (nee Falls)
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing for Barb on Friday morning, July 15, 2022, from 10:00am-12:00pm at the
Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ where her Funeral Service will begin at
12:00pm (NOON) following her viewing. Her Committal Service with her late husband will take place
immediately following at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 240 Lower Landing Road, Chews Landing, NJ.
